On April 24, 2013 an eight-story garment factory in Savar Bangladesh collapsed. The death toll climbed passed 1,000. The fault for this collapse was put on the poor construction of the large building. But why were people working in this factory? They were fulfilling the demand for the latest trends. This collapse was deemed the worst disaster in Bangladesh garment history.

The worse? That means there was others. upon other research there were in fact other garment factory incidents in the earlier 2000's. In fact this collapse triggered a protest which resulted in a fire at another garment factory, killing at least 8 people. As companies like Forever 21 grow in the retail industry incidents like this become more likely to occur. In a since our demand for product here is a demand for stealing the rights and lives of others across the globe.
