Forever 21 first appeared in 1984 in Los Angeles. Don Won Chang, the founder, had moved to the U.S just three years before the opening in search for the American Dream. Within the first year of business, Chang made $700,000 in sales. Now, not quite thirty year later, there are over 500 stores around the world. Forever 21 is a prime example of a retail business running on the philosophy of "Fast Fashion".
